Dr. Ghelber is a board certified general psychiatrist currently practicing in Fort Worth, Texas. She trained in general psychiatry at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston.
Dr Ghelber passed the written part of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology certification examination in May 2011, and the oral examination in January of 2012 . Special interests include treating patients with major depressive disorder, treatment resistant major depressive disorder, addiction to narcotics (opioids), anorexia nervosa and bulimia (eating disorders), insomnia, and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Dr. Ghelber has also an Israeli general psychatry training and is board certified in adult psychiatry in Israel. In Israel, she worked for 18 years in various academic and clinical positions and was involved in the treatment victims of terror attacks, Holocaust survivors, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD),patients with eating disorders, of patients with bereavement, in geriatric psychiatry ,and, as a director of a busy psychiatric emergency room, in various psychiatric emergencies.
Dr Ghelber published in medical journals and presented at international psychiatrists meetings.
Dr Ghelber is a recipient of Patient’s Choice Award and Most Compassionate Doctor Award in 2012.
In 2008, Dr Ghelber was the recipient of a David Mendell Fellowship from Texas Association for Marriage and Family Therapy
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation training
Dr Ghelber is a Neurostar TMS certified provider. In July 2011, she completed a Visiting Fellowship in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation at the Duke University School of Medicine and in February 2013 an Intensive Course in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation at the Berenson-Allen Center for Noninvasive Brain Stimulation affiliated with Harvard University in Boston.
Dr Ghelber is a Buprenorphine (Suboxone, Sobutex) certified provider and treats patients with opioid (narcotics) addiction.
