Brain music therapy has elements of music therapy and biofeedback.
The electrical activity of the brain is recorded with multi-channel electroencephalography equipment For each channel, the recorded waves are transformed into music using 18 different mathematical algorithms. For each channel, one of 120 musical instruments is selected. Using further manipulations, a musical map for various states of the brain is created: hyperactive, active, relaxed and asleep. Listening to the music is used to induce specific brain states.
In the patients studied, the sleep duration increased from a mean of 320 to a mean of 430 minutes and the sleep latency (time to go to sleep) decreased from 50 to 9 minutes.
85% of the patients report good or excellent results. A significant reduction of anxiety is also noticed.
Tens of thousands of people were treated in Europe, Israel and Russia with this method. In the US, over 2000 patients enjoyed the benefits of brain music therapy.
A study perfomed with the US army personnel and a study done in New York in preganant women are in the final stages of being published.
